The effects of ketamine are felt quickly; you’ll be aware of your surroundings yet won’t be able to carry on with daily functions, like having a normal conversation or standing up. You may experience feeling confused, dizzy, or nauseous. More often, patients have little to no side effects and any effects will quickly subside. You’ll need someone to drive you home after the treatment.
No, at this time ketamine treatments are not covered by insurance.
Administered within a controlled medical setting, patients undergo low-dose ketamine infusion therapy via intravenous (IV) treatment, experiencing minimal to no side effects in less than an hour. Our office ensures your utmost comfort throughout the therapy session, typically lasting an hour. Tailored to your unique requirements, we craft a personalized treatment regimen, which typically consists of six infusions over a two-week period, with subsequent infusions administered as necessary to address your specific needs.
Most patients experience feeling a deep relaxation and are able to let their minds relax and wander comfortably, without negative feelings or anxiety.
No, you do not need a physician’s referral, however we do highly recommend your primary care provider or psychiatrist is aware of your plans to do ketamine infusions.
